About Mr. Chandan Gadgil and the Company
Being a keen enthusiast for ‘sustainable development’; Mr. Chandan Gadgil was looking at technologies which would be environment friendly, besides being commercially viable. Observing the effectiveness of the biogas plants in the villages in the country, he realized the commercial potential of the ‘Waste to Energy’ segment and that was the genesis of Innovative Environmental Technologies as a provider of profitable solutions to environment degradation.
Mr. Chandan Gadgil is a graduate in Electrical Engineering from University of Bombay, India. With more than 18 years of experience in renewable energy, especially in Biogas generation and its utilization, he has developed within IETL, a strong technical and professional team. Under his leadership, the company has developed technologies and has successfully set up many over 30 projects in anaerobic digestion, biological removal of hydrogen sulphide from biogas using “Bioskrubber™”, biogas based power plants and biogas to BioMethane plants using “CO2Skrub™”. Today IETL, under the guidance of Mr. Chandan Gadgil, is a leading company dedicated to promoting new technologies in non-conventional energy, and it offers technology and expertise to set up projects to produce Power from Biogas.
Mr. Chandan Gadgil initiated in identifying and negotiating with potential partners overseas in environment technology. Innovative has a Joint Venture with Orient Green Power Limited, Chennai to set up projects on Biogas to Power on a Build Own Operate (B.O.O) basis. It has already set up a 2 MW biogas to power plant at Sanjivani S.S.K. Ltd., Maharashtra on the same principle.
Mr. Chandan Gadgil is a regular speaker at various Renewable Energy conferences including RENEWTECH, DIREC (Delhi International Renewable Energy Conference) and AIDA (All India Distillers Association).
Mr. Chandan Gadgil has been one of the panel members for the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) Govt. of India for National Biogas Upgradation and Manure Programme. According to Mr. Chandan Gadgil, the biogas based renewable energy market has just begun to grow and the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy in India is designing specific programmes so that; as Mr. Chandan Gadgil calls it; this “Green Gas” will become the fuel of choice to meet India’s ever growing energy demand.
